So you want to be one of the friends of the search engines but you do not want to spend a huge amount on it, or not even a small amount. That is normal; it is what almost all the webmasters think of. And if you're quite new in this industry you really need simple, yet sound advice.

Keep in mind that sometimes search engines create their own description based on the content on your home page. So, don't forget to have good content there also.
5. Know your Meta Tags. These are the different keywords or phrases related to your site. You may have identified one main keyword but you also need to have various words related to your site. You must add these, together with the site title and site description. These are the first basic things that you must fix when creating your Web site.
Remember these points and you will be starting with your online venture in the proper way. Befriending the search engines means complying with their policies or rules. When you are founded on these, it will not be difficult for your site to show up on the top lists of the SERPs.
